Reflow 1.2.0

This release includes major updates to dashboards and the history system as well as bug fixes and new features based on user feedback

Histories
The History architecture in Reflow has been rebuilt from the ground up to provide better support for larger stations with many thousands of histories as well as additional user-requested features

• Reflow View
  • History Index
    • The main history list is now paged, displaying up to 32 histories per page instead of all station histories in a long scroll. Paging arrows and components have been added at the top and bottom of the list
    • In addition to searching the list, you can now filter the list by history type, history group as well as choose how the list is ordered. These options can be accessed by clicking the new Filter button next to the search box
    • Additional data has been added to the history list cards including last value, time last updated, and history type. You can hover over each card to see a sparkline preview of the data
    • Featured Histories
      • Multiple Niagara histories are now supported in a single Reflow Featured History
      • Featured History cards now display as dashboard cards instead of static elements
      • The list now loads in a tab-like element that separates itself from the rest of the content on screen
      • The Featured History element will hide itself when paging, searching, or filtering the history list
  • Charts
    • History Selection
      • The "+ Add History" fly-out button on the left side has been replaced by the new "+ Chart Data" button available in the top of the chart builder
      • The selected histories/add histories drawer that would appear after clicking "+ Add History" has been replaced with a completely redesigned selection experience that closely mirrors the new design of the History Index page, allowing users to filter, page, and search for data to add
    • Chart Titles - the 'History Builder' title has been removed from the page in favor of dynamic chart titles:
      • Charts accessed from a Featured History link will now use the Featured History name as their title
      • Charts with two or less points selected will use the point name as their titles
      • Charts with three or more points selected will use the title 'Custom Chart'. In a future release this will be customizable
    • CSV Export has been added as an export option to the chart in the export menu. This option is only available when a single history is being viewed. It will not appear when multiple Niagara histories are in the chart.
    • Boolean data now shades the entire chart for 'true' values, making for easier comparisons between boolean and numeric points
    • Area charts now use straight instead of curved lines
    • The dropdown menus for chart type and time range have been made smaller to better integrate with the new design
    • Loading times have been improved in comparison to previous versions
• Histories Config
  • NEW The History Picker has replaced the Ord Tree for selecting Histories in the Reflow Config. This new component opens a modal that allows you to filter by type or group and search histories in the station. Paging has been added to provide a smooth experience even with thousands of history results
  • NEW Link Picker updates for Histories
    • You can now link to charts with multiple histories selected and define chart type and time range
  • Featured Histories
    • NEW You can now add more than one Niagara history to a Featured History
    • Added a toggle switch to enable/disable Featured Histories
    • You are no longer required to save when making changes, any changes will update live in the preview and be saved automatically
    • The editor panel has been resized to fit the standard panel size

Pages

• NEW You can now select a dark theme for custom Reflow dashboard pages. This option can be found in the 'Page Layout' menu when editing a custom Reflow dashboard page.
  • For dashboard pages built with previous versions of Reflow, you may need to edit your cards to set color values for text to the new 'Automatic' color setting so the colors will change based on light or dark mode
  • The Hero Background Tint color selector has added swatches for commonly used background tints including a solid color that matches the background in dark mode
• The title and subtitle can now be hidden on pages using the 'Hero Card' page layout style

Floor Plans

• Reflow Floor Plans can now have a an exact or minimum height specified instead of being autosized to the available height of the web browser which remains the default
• Label Element
  • Added Size Mode option in the Style panel. This option includes two new modes that allow labels to have a more compact size
  • Added Value Font Size option in the Style panel. This option allows you to change the font size of the data point value

Dashboard Cards

• NEW Table Card - create tables that display point values and other dynamic elements including icons and badges
• NEW HX View Card - this new card allows you to embed a Niagara view as a card in your Reflow dashboards
• NEW Circle Card - display a circle chart using Niagara point data and optional dynamic colors
• NEW History Sparkline Card - now supports multiple histories. You can select custom colors for each series
• NEW Weather Forecast & Current Conditions
  • Weather information and display can now be customized independently from the global weather settings, this includes location, icon set, and units
  • A location label has been added under the current temperature that will automatically display the weather station location or custom text. It is hidden by default
  • The title of the Current Conditions card can now be changed, it defaults to 'Weather'
• Gauge Card
  • You can now use Niagara points for the min and max values of the gauge
  • You can now specify a dynamic color for the gauge based on a Niagara Point
• Hyperlink Card - you can now set the title color to primary or secondary in addition to the custom option.
• Weather Maps
  • Reflow no longer caches weather images on the station file system, they are now loaded directly from the NiagaraMods weather service in to the web browser
  • It is now possible to have multiple cards with unique map locations and styles

Dashboard System

• NEW Full width cards - you can now make cards span the entire width of the dashboard
• NEW Card Height - you can select the desired height of any card type using the new Height property and selecting one the following options:
  • Automatic - a card's content determines its height, this is how all cards worked before 1.2.0
  • Single - Card height forced to a single row, overflow content will scroll
  • Double - Card height forced to two rows, overflow content will scroll
  • Exact - Card height will be exactly the value specified, overflow content will scroll
  • Minimum - Card height will be at least the value specified but content could cause it to be larger
  • Maximum - Card height will be at most the value specified but content could cause it to be smaller
• NEW Duplicate Cards – you can now duplicate a card from the card editor
• All existing cards have had their layouts updated to support the dark theme available in custom Reflow dashboard pages
• A new 'Automatic' option has been added to the color pickers of many dashboard cards. This option will allow you to show a default light or dark color depending on if your custom page is using the dark theme Other dashboards found on the Landing Page and in Buildings will use the same default color as previous Reflow versions if 'Automatic' is selected
• Card type and size have been consolidated to take up less space in the Config panel
• The Card Enabled switch has been removed in favor of a menu item towards the bottom of the panel

Additional Changes

• Navigation
  • NEW Date & Time Widget - you can now add a customizable date and time widget to your navigation
• Config
  • Trial Mode messages no longer appear briefly under the Reflow logo while license data loads in the background
  • Grip icons have been added to items where lists can be reordered by clicking and dragging. This includes lists in Navigation, Dashboard Cards, Pages, Buildings, Floors, Equipment Types and Devices
  • Alarms
    • Changing the Default Time Range from Config mode now automatically changes the active time range in the preview
  • Buildings
    • New buildings now have 'Hero Image Enabled' toggled off by default
  • Themes
    • The Hero Background Tint color selector has added swatches for commonly used background tints
• Misc
  • Added JACE license support for Host IDs prefixed with "GC5"
  • NEW Embedded HX Views
    • The Niagara view rendering system has been improved and uses a new method to render Niagara content. This should result in faster load times and eliminate display and UI inconsistencies
    • The new system does not support displaying the Niagara Toolbar, this option has been removed from the Link Picker in Reflow Config
    • A new option 'Display Back Button' has been added that allows you to control if a back button will be shown when a user is linked to a different view from the original Niagara view. This option will default to false for existing embedded views including on custom pages, floor plans, and equipment graphics. This option must be checked in the Link Picker before the Back Button will display

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug that would cause the chosen view to not be selected in the dropdown when accessing Link Pickers with existing values
• Fixed a bug that would cause the incorrect start page to load in the Config Preview when restoring from a configuration backup while logged in as a user with a custom start page
• Fixed a bug that could cause an error when embedded views were loaded on pages accessed by direct URL
• Fixed a bug that would improperly display a back button on an embedded view when an ord was changed in the config
• Fixed bugs in the history system that could lead to blank pages on stations with 7,000 or more histories
• Fixed a bug where histories linked to from navigation items would not load properly if a user was already viewing a different History
• Fixed a bug that could cause history charts to display in GMT instead of local time
• Fixed a bug where deleting a device used in a Reflow Device type point would prevent a new device from being selected
• Fixed an issue where the opacity style for floor plan labels would not apply correctly when labels did not have consistent opacities set
• Fixed a bug that could cause floor plans to appear blank in the Config editor when navigating to the floor plan in the preview and then directly back to the editor
• The Hero Background Position selection box now properly selects 'center' on default configurations instead of showing blank
• Hero Background Position selection no longer displays in custom page's Page Layout config when using the default hero background
