Reflow Version 2.0.2 (build 38)
This October 2026 release includes new features, improvements and bug fixes.
Equipment
- Point commands in your language. A point's commands (Override, Auto, Emergency Auto and the
rest) and the states offered when you override it now appear in the language set on your Niagara user, as
Workbench shows them, instead of as raw Niagara slot and tag names. A station running in English is unchanged.
- Translated state names also need the point's enum range to name a lexicon in its facets (the
lexiconoption on the range); a range without one keeps showing its raw tags.

- Background blur can be turned off. Preferences (in the user menu) has a new Background Blur setting. Turning it off removes the blur behind dialogs, menus and loading overlays in the configuration app, which keeps it responsive on computers without graphics acceleration (Remote Desktop sessions in particular). Like your other preferences it is kept in this browser, so it can be off on one computer and on for another.
- AI translation keeps Reflow's terminology. The Translate button, where you enter a field's other languages, now leaves Reflow, NiagaraMods and Niagara in English. Into Hungarian it uses the building-automation terms of the Hungarian language pack (a schedule is an Időprogram and a setpoint an Alapjel, for example).
Bug Fixes
- Navigation
- A navigation link whose destination item comes from a page variable or a block property now opens that item's
own address, such as
/buildings/headquarters. It opened a generic address instead, which left the page's breadcrumb, the browser tab and the configuration toolbar all reading Custom in place of the building's name, and greyed out the item switcher and the variable's Active row. Links whose source holds several items, or something that is not an item of that collection, are unchanged; there is no single item for those to name. Existing addresses already shared or bookmarked keep working.
- A navigation link whose destination item comes from a page variable or a block property now opens that item's
own address, such as
- Projects
- Refreshing a Preview tab keeps showing the draft, on any page of the preview; it showed the published project instead, or Publish your first project when nothing was published. A preview link that has expired (they last an hour, and a station restart ends them) now shows Preview expired rather than the published project.
- Users & Roles
- A user can no longer open a project they are not assigned to, whether by changing the project in the view's address or through a draft preview link. The station now checks every project request against the user's assignments, so an unassigned project shows Project not found; administrators and users with config access still see every project.
- A user whose assignments name no starting project lands on their first assigned project, rather than the system default project they may not be assigned to.
- The starting project star in a user's or role's Projects tab can no longer be cleared by clicking it; click the star on another assigned project to move it instead.
- Turning off Reflow View Access for a user now blocks the view; they see Access Forbidden.
- Turning off Config View Access for a role now removes it from that role's users, as each user's access settings already showed; only a user's own switch took effect. A user keeps access while any other role of theirs leaves it on, and the Users list names the roles that block it.
- Users without config access are taken to the view when they open the configuration app, and the station refuses their changes to projects, drafts, plugins, languages, the license and station files. They can still comment, add attachments, and save their own chart views and preferences, and no longer see other users' project assignments or the names of projects they are not assigned to.
- License
- The page limit counts only the pages you add. The pages every new project starts with (Home and the Buildings, Equipment, Alarms, Histories and Schedules pages) counted toward it, so a Trial license could not add a single page and a Standard license only one. Duplicates and alternates of a collection page still count.
- Publishing a project that is already published no longer counts it against the published-project limit a second time, so a station at its limit (including a Trial license's single project) can publish changes again.
- Publishing checks every license limit. A project with more pages, buildings, spaces or devices than the license allows (imported from another station, restored from a backup, or on a station whose license changed) still opens, edits and previews, but publishing it is refused with a message naming each limit and how far over it is. A project that is already published stays published.
- Duplicating a building counts toward the building and space limits, as adding one does.
- Pages & Block Editor
- A Navigate to interaction that points at a disabled building (or another disabled page or item) worked in the editor's preview but sent visitors to the start page. The preview now shows a banner naming the disabled item when you open its page, and Select a view marks disabled pages and items with a dimmed name and a crossed-out eye; visitors still can't reach them.
- Moving between pages in the editor's preview no longer sometimes brings back the page you were leaving, after which clicking the page you wanted did nothing until you went somewhere else or reloaded.
- Paging through a large Table no longer freezes the page or crashes the browser tab. Clicking to the next page several times while the table is still drawing goes straight to the last page you asked for.
- A Niagara view block can be made much taller, so a Niagara graphic designed to fill the window has room to show. Its bottom handle drags to about two and a half times the previous limit, as on the Web View and Canvas blocks.
- A building with its own alternate template opens on that template from a Map block, by clicking its marker popup or its entry in a group popup, and from its name in the breadcrumbs on the building's Spaces, Equipment, Alarms, Schedules and Histories pages. These opened the building's default template; the navigation menu already got it right.
- Opening a page from the Pages panel keeps the editor preview's navigation in step with it: the Home item no longer disappears when you arrive from the Home page, and the item you last clicked in the navigation no longer stays highlighted alongside the new page's.
- A template page you duplicate, or add again from the + menu, no longer shows a Route Path field, matching the template it came from; its address stays as created. Custom pages keep the field.
- Canvas
- Right-clicking an element in the Elements panel opens the same menu as right-clicking it on the canvas, acting on the whole selection (a row that isn't selected is selected first). The panel's Actions menu offers the same items, and the menu now includes Duplicate and Delete, on the canvas too.
- Right-clicking a selection of several elements keeps them all selected, wherever inside the selection you click, so the menu acts on every one of them. It used to clear the selection when the click landed between elements, or narrow it to the element under the pointer; right-clicking an element outside the selection still selects that element first.
- Right-clicking the edge of a selected Zone or Line no longer adds a point there; only a left-click does.
- A Zone's label now sits in the widest part of the zone and is no longer cut off at the zone's edge, so it stays readable on L- and U-shaped zones and on zones narrower than the label.
- Buildings
- A map popup indicator bound to Acknowledged Alarm Count shows the building's acknowledged alarms instead of always reading 0, and Has Acknowledged Alarms turns on when there are any. The count covers the alarm console's time range (Last 8 Hours by default), so it matches the Ack count on the building's Alarms page.
- Equipment
- Smart Histories work again on points imported from a JACE or other remote station. A Device Points block showed those points without their history sparkline, even with the points tagged and the histories imported; points logged on the local station were unaffected.
- Commanding an enum point sets the state you chose. On a point whose states aren't numbered consecutively from zero (a range with a gap in it), a command could set a different state and the override dialog opened on the wrong one. An Execute command interaction with Prompt user at runtime turned off now sends its value to an enum point instead of doing nothing.
- Adding several devices from a remote station's virtual network at once no longer loses some of them (beyond about four, the rest came back with No points found), and each device no longer takes around half a minute to read. A device whose points can't be read says Could not read points instead of looking empty, and the Browse dialog shows a spinner while the devices are read.
- On a building's device page, the Device Header block's schedule and Served by chips open the building's own schedule and device pages, keeping you inside the building, instead of the project-wide pages.
- Export on a Device Summary block no longer spins forever when one of its devices' points can't be reached (a component removed or renamed in Niagara, or a remote station that is down). The file still covers every device; values that can't be read are left blank, and a note says how many. An export that takes longer than a moment shows its progress and finishes with an Export ready message whose Download button saves the file, and you can page through the block while it runs.
- A point that can't be reached shows N/A in device tables and cards, instead of staying blank.
- Histories
- A History Chart keeps a comparison series you set on it. Compare to previous time range, on a row of the chart's histories list, had no effect and the setting was discarded the next time the chart loaded; it now draws that history beside its previous period for everyone who opens the page. On a History Details page, where the chart shows the page's own history, the toggle now shows the comparison as on and switches it off again; a second click used to leave the chart empty, and a chart left empty that way shows its comparison again. Switching a comparison off from the chart legend leaves the history on the chart rather than removing it, and a comparison a viewer turns on from the legend stays theirs for that visit only (it is not saved to the chart, the address, or a saved view). Table style shows the current period only.
- Alarms
- Alarm lists, consoles and exports filtered to Yesterday, Last Week, Last Month or Last Year show that period's alarms; each could cover the wrong dates (Last Year also took in the current year, for example). Week To Date now starts on Sunday and Last 7 Days runs from the same time seven days ago, as charts already did.
- Alarm class names read as they do in Niagara (
Low - 1, notLow$20$2d$201) in a priority rule's Alarm classes field and the list it opens, and in the same field on a building's or space's alarms and in an alarm block's custom query. - Unchecking priorities on an alarm console's Priorities tab now hides those alarms from the Alarm Records Table and Alarms Sources Table blocks using the console; before, they stayed listed and only lost their priority label. A table's own Priorities list set to Custom filters the same way. The Alarm Shelf, Alarm Display, a building's alarm records count and the Alarms Header's Export follow the restriction too, so a project with restricted priorities shows fewer alarms after this update.
- The Alarm console picker no longer freezes on an Alarm Display copied from another project, or one whose console was deleted; you can pick a new console from it. The empty Alarm console field now explains, on hover, that its console could not be found in this project.
- An alarm block whose Alarm console comes from one of your Building Variables now uses the console that building names: its priorities, sources and time range. Before, it ignored the console and counted every alarm (an Alarm Display showed Medium alarms its console excludes, for example), and the field showed the building's name instead of the console's.
- Bindings & Variables
- Names from the station show their spaces and symbols (
Point Name, notPoint$20Name) in every field bound to a Niagara point or folder, most visibly a device's Resource under Configuration.
- Names from the station show their spaces and symbols (
- General
- In dark mode, the title bar pinned at the top of configuration pages, the file name label on file and image pickers, and the overlays on the Project Files block use their dark background instead of the light one.
- Switching a time range from a preset to Custom fills in that preset's dates; from Yesterday it could fill in an end before the start.
Upcoming
The following items are in active development and are not part of this release.
- Migration from Reflow 1. Reflow 2 does not read Reflow 1 projects yet. It can be installed alongside Reflow 1 on the same station in the meantime, and a migration path for existing save files is in development for a later release. See the Reflow 2 FAQ for more information.
- User Profiles
- More themes. The theme system ships with Classic. Further themes begin to arrive after this release, and install from the gallery like any other plugin.
- More plugins. The plugin gallery grows after release with first and third-party plugins, including animated equipment graphics, reporting and kiosk support.
